Richard Edmund Hess
Richard Edmund Hess has been flying military and commercial aircraft for 50 years. He spent 28 years in the USAF and ANG flying fighters, trainers and transports, overlapped with 31 years flying for the airlines. He's ferried 14 military fighter aircraft to South America, Europe and Africa. He's traveled to every continent including Antarctica and is a consultant for some overseas air forces. He's written five books including a military thriller, Night Of The Bear, his memoir, High Flight: A Pilot's Journey Through Life, and a sequel novel, Red Tide. He has three children and seven grandchildren. He resides with his wife in Georgia.
